No Cause started in the summer of 1999 with Bobby, Dave Onions(now of Maria Lane) George Poporad, and Pat Connely(now of Mute 28) who was replaced by Pat #2. Pat then left and Darek joined the band. Dave decided he did not like the direction the band was going in and left to start his own band. So Bobby, George and Darek, quickly got to work and started writing songs. They released a four song demo entitled "Yum!" which contained the tracks Leaving You, Growing up, Johnny Depp and Take On Me. The demand for the tape was high so they soon went back in to the studio to record their first full length album entitled Nothing Personal. They played out and soon decided that one guitar player just didn't give them the creativity that they wanted. George moved to guitar and they asked a friend, Dean Sauer, to join and play bass. With Dean the band was reborn. Their energy in the live performances skyrocketed and they started writing many new songs. They are planning to release their second full length album in late spring/early summer and also plan to embark on a mini-tour of the upper east coast in the summer of 2001. |
